Sport has always been a strange one for me, when I was younger I was very active but never found my sport till later on than most people do. It took me until I was 10 to fall in love with football. Watching Newcastle United get promoted back to the Premier League made me obsessed not only with the sport but the facts and numbers behind it. I then joined local football team Red House Farm then later Kingston Park who later formed Gosforth Bohemians Juniors. It was with the Boh’s at 14 years of age where my coaching journey began when I approached the club about volunteering. I was then very kindly invited to help with the under 8’s team who I have continued to work with to this very day. It is one of my biggest passions. As Jordan was already involved with the club and he started coming along to help support me and help me develop as a coach.

Through this he asked me if I would like to come and do some additional coaching. I jumped at the chance to working at sports camps and eventually getting to work in schools doing PE lessons and after school clubs. It was a big challenge at first but learning every step of the way and building confidence I loved doing the job straight away! I’m currently a student at Newcastle College studying Sport and Exercise Science. Beforehand, at high school I took GCSE PE which spurred me on to take this course. I’ve always been fascinated by how the body works and learning the anatomy behind sport. This could’ve been helped due to both my parents working for the NHS my whole life. The dream is to get the grades to study Physiotherapy at university as that’s the profession I’ve always dreamt of. However I will forever be involved with sports coaching.
